BE READY TO JOIN THE CITY
Player requirements
Expectations for every applicant and player. Please read these before applying for whitelist.
Age requirement+
Project Veyronix has a minimum age requirement of 18, with exceptions for players who are 16 or 17. You must have turned 16 to apply for whitelist.
Personal information+
Project Veyronix expects players to provide accurate information throughout the entire application process.
Microphone+
To provide the best possible experience for other players, you must use a good-quality microphone.
Conduct+
Project Veyronix enforces a strict code of conduct both in and outside of roleplay. Sexual harassment, discrimination, racism, and generally poor behavior or attitudes will be dealt with firmly.
BUILD A CHARACTER THAT FITS
Character requirements
Guidelines for creating characters that belong in the Project Veyronix world.
Realism+
Character names must be realistic and must not imitate or copy well-known or prominent existing names. Your character must be at least 18 years old. Characters that break this rule will be deleted.
Distinct identity+
Project Veyronix values variety and individuality. Make your character unique, with their own skills and personality traits. No one is good at everything!
Multiple characters+
If you have multiple characters, they must be clearly different. Their appearance, personality traits, work, and connections to other characters must be distinct.
Characters in criminal gangs+
You may not have characters who are members of multiple criminal gangs at the same time. You may have one police character and one criminal character, but you must limit yourself to holding a major role on only one side.
Police positions+
Some police positions do not allow you to also have a criminal character.
History from other servers+
You may not bring over character history or rely on existing acquaintances from other servers in your roleplay.
KEEP THE CITY IMMERSIVE
Roleplay rules
These guidelines apply whenever you are logged in and playing on the server.
Destructive roleplay+
Roleplay involving self-harm, suicide, sexual assault, incest, or pregnancy is strictly prohibited.
Stay in character+
You must stay in character at all times while logged into and playing on the server.
Abuse of bugs and game mechanics+
Under no circumstances may you abuse bugs, glitches, game mechanics, or third-party software to give yourself or others an advantage in roleplay. QuantV and NVE are permitted exceptions.
Weapon skins and custom crosshairs+
Weapon skins and custom crosshairs are not allowed on Project Veyronix.
Rule violations and penalties+
Rule violations may result in a permanent ban, without further discussion or the possibility of an unban.
Metagaming+
Information you obtain out of character must never be used in character. Roleplay must be based on what happens in character, not on out-of-character information. Discord screen sharing or actively watching streams while logged into the server is considered metagaming.
Powergaming and fair play+
As a general rule, always give the other party a chance to respond to the roleplay you initiate. Unrealistic actions that give only you an advantage are considered powergaming. Lying in /me is also considered powergaming.
Winning mentality+
An excessive need to win, refusing to ever give up, or generally displaying a negative out-of-character attitude during roleplay is not allowed.
Motorcycles during criminal activity+
Motorcycles may not be used during criminal activity, including robberies, drug-related activity, and shootings.
VDM — Vehicle deathmatch+
You may not harm another player with a vehicle unless there is meaningful roleplay behind it.
RDM — Random deathmatch+
You may not harm another player by punching, kicking, shooting, or other means unless there is roleplay behind it.
Combat logging+
You may not log out while involved in an active scenario.
FailRP and lack of roleplay intent+
Do not perform actions or say things that break your character’s role or the roleplay. This includes actions that do not fit the scene, ignoring the consequences of your actions, or doing something that unnaturally stops the other party from continuing the roleplay. Using real-life photos, videos, objects, or AI-generated images in roleplay is also considered FailRP.
New Life Rule (NLR)+
If your character is downed, roleplay the severity of their injuries realistically. You may choose to remain conscious if the situation allows you to contribute to the scene. If you are downed without being injured by another player, you may remember the entire event. If you are downed by punches, kicks, or generally non-lethal violence, you may remember most of the scene and its conversations. If you are downed by a knife, stabbing, or firearm, you may remember only vague details so you have something to continue roleplaying afterward. In police-versus-crime scenarios, you may remember the entire scenario regardless of whether you lost consciousness. If the game script downs you and you receive treatment at the hospital or from Grandma, you may not rejoin the same scenario in which you were downed.
NVL — No value of life+
You must always react realistically to situations your character encounters. For example, if someone threatens you with a firearm, responding with a knife is considered NVL. The reverse situation is not considered NVL. This also applies to criminal-versus-police scenarios.
Character assets+
If a character dies, fakes their own death, or you plan to leave the server, you may not transfer any items, money, or valuables to other characters. This also applies between your own characters at all times.
Consequences of your actions+
Be consistent in how your character deals with the police. Every decision can have consequences for your character, and you must roleplay those consequences. Be prepared for the aftermath of major criminal activity. This rule also applies to conflicts between criminal groups.
Greenzones+
Criminal activity may not be initiated in a greenzone. A scenario that has already started may move into one, but avoid doing so when possible. Greenzones are not safe areas to escape an ongoing scenario. The greenzones are the hospital, police station, and courthouse.
